The Annual Art 2025 Exhibition
The floral journey of ArtAlkemyst continued in Holland Park, harmonious and memorable encounter with the beautiful dahlias and other flowers in the Dutch Gardens.
The species of dahlia that was brought from Mexico on the Royal Scientific expedition to New Spain in 1787-1803 was Acocoxochitl – Dahlia coccinea. The flowers arrived in England for the first time in 1803. In 1804 Elizabeth Lady Holland cultivated them in the gardens of Holland House. They named the flower 'Scarlett' for her intense and captivating red colour.
The work of art "Acocoxochitl - Dahlia coccinea" a 3D collage, will be on display, along with "Dahlias in Bloom", inspired by the Dutch Garden of Holland Park, as well as various botanical gardens.
Limited edition prints and cards will be available in the Mini Market.
